resolve cosmos gosec findings - G701,G703,G704

The Cosmos gosec fork added to the CI in #1129 reports issues related to rules 701,G703,G704 that need to be addressed.

If they can be resolved. Meaning fixed if they can be fixed or annotated with #nosec G701 if they are false positives. Use #gosec carefully and only when the underlying issues is a false positive and cannot be fixed.
