  • I verified proper file naming conventions were followed for any new files or renamed files. All non-platform specific files are named after what they export and are not named "index.js". All platform-specific files are named for the platform the code supports as outlined in the README.
  • I verified the JSDocs style guidelines (in STYLE.md) were followed
• If a new code pattern is added I verified it was agreed to be used by multiple Expensify engineers

Expense - As category is deleted, no merchant rule is applied, but system message is shown.

Action Performed:

1. Launch the app.
2. Create a new workspace.
3. Enable the 'Rules' feature in the workspace settings.
4. Create a new merchant rule with the merchant 'Ganesha'.
5. Set a category for the rule and save the changes.
6. Navigate to the workspace settings and locate the 'Categories' section.
7. Delete the category that was set in step 5.
8. Open the workspace chat.
9. Create a new expense with the merchant 'Ganesha'.
10. Open the newly created expense.

Expected Result

As the category is deleted, no merchant rule is applied, so no system message should be seen.

Actual Result

As the category is deleted, no merchant rule is applied, but a system message must be shown.
