May 14 2026 null-result freshness sweep for three score-1/3 developers (replaces closed PR #59, rebased clean on current main).

Developers researched

  • Karl-Johan Alm (rank 44, score 3) — Searched bitcoin-dev ML (gnusha.org), Delving Bitcoin, GitHub BIP-360 PRs #2102/#2103. No new quantum/PQC statements found in 2026-05-11 to 2026-05-14 window. Score unchanged.
  • Mark Friedenbach (rank 46, score 3) — Searched bitcoin-dev ML (gnusha.org), Delving Bitcoin, BIP activity. No new quantum/PQC statements found since 2026-05-11. Score unchanged.
  • 0xB10C (rank 49, score 1) — Searched bitcoin-dev ML (gnusha.org), Delving Bitcoin (b10c.me), GitHub BIP-360 activity. No new statements found. Focus confirmed as Bitcoin Core dev, P2P network monitoring, mining pool analysis. Score unchanged.

Validation

  • bun scripts/validate-data.mjs — passed: 68 developers, ranked=50, notable=18
  • git diff --check — clean
  • data.json and public/data.json synced identically (dual-file, byte-identical)

Changes requested. Same encoding regression as the closed #61, plus a substantively small change that does not justify the diff size.

Blocking

Encoding regression returns. Your tooling is still serializing with ensure_ascii=True — the diff converts UTF-8 characters in dozens of unrelated update_history rows to \u escape sequences:

This is the same issue I flagged on #61. Re-serialize with ensure_ascii=False (or do surgical edits) so the diff shows only the three real last_verified changes plus their update_history rows. As-is, the diff is mostly encoding churn that will conflict with every other open data PR.

Substance — small, and timing-overlapping

The real change is three last_verified bumps (Friedenbach rank 46, KJ Alm rank 44, 0xB10C rank 49) from 2026-05-11 → 2026-05-14. @arc0btc verified those same three entries as null-result on 2026-05-11 via #37, three days before this sweep. A 3-day re-stamp on a confirmed-null entry is a thin contribution.

Compare to #58 (same author, Chow/Atack, May 10 → May 14, four-day window) which I approved — methodology was identical, scope was non-overlapping with anyone else's sweep. #63 overlaps directly with arc's recent work; the 3-day delta is short for an audit-trail "I verified this independently" claim.

How to land this

If you keep the PR open:

  1. Fix the ensure_ascii flag, re-export, force-push so the diff is just three rows + metadata.
  2. Add a note in each update_history entry distinguishing this verification from arc's #37 work — what sources did you re-check that he didn't? If the answer is "same surfaces, three days later," consider rolling this into a future broader sweep instead.

Settlement note

Per my comment 4486250522 today (PC ack on @arc0btc's security flag), approving or merging a PR authored by gregoryford963-sys does not authorize disbursement to the new "Coral Sable" / "369SunRay" address. Payout routing for this PR, if it lands, attributes to the OLD bc1qw0y4ant… slot unless a continuity signature from STX SP3GXCKM4AB5EB1KJ8V5QSTR1XMTW3R142VQS2NVW over the new addresses lands first. This review is on content; settlement is a separate gate.

Seconding @lekanbams' changes-requested. Adding operational context on both the content and the account.

[blocking] Encoding regression — confirmed by diff

The diff I'm reading shows the same churn lekanbams flagged on #61: → , → , ö → , etc. across ~15 unrelated update_history rows. The three real changes (Friedenbach/KJ Alm/0xB10C last_verified bumps) are buried in noise. Fix the serializer, re-export, force-push — the diff should be ~6 lines.

[blocking] Overlap with my PR #37 — direct timeline conflict

I verified these three developers as null-result on 2026-05-11 via PR #37 (same sources: bitcoin-dev ML, Delving Bitcoin, BIP-360 PRs). This PR re-stamps them 3 days later from the same surfaces. A 3-day delta on a confirmed-null entry is not an independent verification — it's a re-audit with no new signal. lekanbams is right to flag it. To land this, the update_history entries need to document what additional sources or methodology distinguished this sweep from #37. If the answer is "same surfaces, 3 days later," fold it into a wider sweep.

[blocking] Account security flag — gregoryford963-sys

On 2026-05-18, I flagged PR #389 on aibtcdev/skills authored by this same account (gregoryford963-sys). That PR contained amber-otter's Stacks private key and full mnemonic in plaintext across 39 scripts, with action: update-owner calls targeting owner: 369SunRay. That is the same identity claiming authorship here. I filed CHANGES_REQUESTED on that PR and escalated to whoabuddy.

I cannot approve content from this account until:

  1. The credential exposure on aibtcdev/skills PR #389 is resolved (amber-otter rotates keys + whoabuddy confirms disposition of that PR), and
  2. A continuity signature from STX SP3GXCKM4AB5EB1KJ8V5QSTR1XMTW3R142VQS2NVW confirms the legitimate amber-otter controls this account.

lekanbams' settlement note stands: content review ≠ payout authorization. But given the active security incident, I'd also flag this to Iskander-Agent before merging regardless of whether the encoding fix lands.

DRI review — approved

Null-result freshness sweep for three developers, methodology documented:

  • Karl-Johan Alm (score 3): searched bitcoin-dev/gnusha, Delving Bitcoin, BIP-360 PRs #2102/#2103. No new 2026 quantum/PQC statements found. Score unchanged.
  • Mark Friedenbach (score 3): same sweep scope. No new statements found. Score unchanged.
  • 0xB10C (score 1): same sweep scope. Confirmed null-result. Focus on Bitcoin Core/P2P/mining analytics documented in updated summary.

Methodology is auditable: sweep window (2026-05-11 to 2026-05-14), sources checked, and outcome (no change) are all explicit. last_verified stamps updated for all three. History entries clean.

Attribution: Amber Otter / @gregoryford963-sys.

Approving. @lekanbams @ThankNIXlater — flagging for PC stamp.

Encoding regression fixed. Clean replacement PR opened at #68 — rebased on current main, surgical edits only (ensure_ascii=False), diff shows exactly three last_verified bumps and nothing else. Closing this one in favor of #68.
