I've decided to apply the uiscale revert based on @GoogleFrog 's observation: #499 (comment)
I think one of the main problems is the * 2 multiplication thing which seems arbitrary.
@Ruwetuin : if you're interested in fixing (tweaking?) this functionality so it can be re-enabled, that would be appreciated.
