Eventhough it is likely this will never be read, but where can I find the rationale behind deprecating shows, lists and the rewrite endpoint?

Developing a project that specifically rely on shows/views/rewrites. I take a modern framework's (Vue, React, etc) server side rendering technique to create mustache templates to deploy for couchdb/spidermonkey based ssr/pwa apps. Since PWA is kinda the hot thing right now I figured it would be a good to bring couchapp to the webpack world with code splitting on shows/lists but if it's going to be deprecated that puts me back quite a bit.
