I agree it is a bit strange. By default - the installation of leningen, the clojure build tool, grabs the latest stable version. There is an issue about it technomancy/leiningen#2186 |

The latest version of leiningen has a dependency issue with the documentation generating library
codox. This pins the version of leiningen to 2.8.3 for CI and docs generating.#14131
