@safern had me look at the change that added this yesterday. I mentioned that we shouldn't include freebsd as a supported RID for this package since we aren't building that vertical. @wfurt you need to undo this change and remove the FreeBSD IL from the package as well:

Alternatively you can enable the vertical build for FreeBSD so that we build this package.

I'm not sure how CI for this even passed, but it shouldn't. (edit: maybe CI uses a different version string and we have a old copy of a preview freeBSD package on the feed??)

Yes, I talk about it with @safern yesterday. There is really no reason why this needs to be in. It was just one of my pending changes and CI run look ok. I know @safern had change yesterday as well as I'm not sure if I can or should write to new repo. I can either roll it back or anybody who works on new repo can do that as well if that is easier for coordination.

Found the issue. For package testing we depend on a static version of runtime.native.System.IO.Ports package which is gotten through the version in Versions.props updated by BAR. The problem is that we're depending on a version which contains the freebsd RID in it's dependencies since that was the last BAR update we got from corefx and we're no longer updating that version. So I downgraded it and it is fixed.
