[REQUEST] Parameter to switch off writing of .log files

It would be nice to have a parameter that allows to switch off the writing of .log files. On long runs they can be quite large and are not necessarily needed in production runs, I think.

In the current version it does not work for me. I've tried both "WARNING" and "ERROR" and they produce the full log output.

Found a minor bug which was potentially causing the issue with logging in b122d48.
