What happened?

Everytime I try to use GEmini it's the same thing 'Trying to reach gemini-3-flash-preview (Attempt 8/10)' what kind of product is this that you can't use it (I'm a subscribe user)!

Could you please share a bit more info to help us investigate:
When did this start? Is this happening consistently or only at certain times of day?
Network/Region - Which country/region are you in? Are you behind a VPN or proxy?
Auth - You're using oauth-personal. Have you tried re-authenticating? (gemini auth logout then gemini auth login)
Model - Does the issue persist if you explicitly set the model to gemini-2.0-flash instead of auto?

The CLI could implement an automatic fallback mechanism (e.g., switch to another available model) when high-demand errors persist, rather than retrying the same model 10 times.

It seems this may be related to high demand on the gemini-3-flash-preview model rather than a local configuration issue.

You could try switching to a stable model like gemini-3-pro, re-authenticating (gemini logout → gemini login), or updating the CLI to the latest version.

If the issue only occurs with the preview model, it is likely a temporary capacity limitation, and using a stable model should resolve it.
