Working on #394, I have noticed that we are missing the test infra to run tests while controlling the browser. It's slower than running the tests inside the browser (Karma) but controlling a browser with playwright allows us to test things that are impossible inside a browser, e.g. tabs behavior.
The content of this PR is mostly a copy & paste.
