This change is purely for code cleanliness.
MSAL 1.24.0b1 installed by #26980 will also include this functionality, as calling acquire_token_silent with account=None is now a no-op:
if not account:
return None # A backward-compatible NO-OP to drop the account=None usage

MSAL 1.23.0 (AzureAD/microsoft-authentication-library-for-python#581) changed the behavior of
acquire_token_for_clientso that it will automatically look up access tokens from cache, so there is no need to callacquire_token_silentand check the result manually then callacquire_token_for_client.The MSAL example also reflects the same:
